Millwood Group LLC has provided assistance to parents to address a wide variety of educational concerns. Our services are customized for each situation that is brought to us. Following is a non-inclusive list of the issues that have been most frequently brought to us by parents:
Insufficient Academic Progress
- Grades that do not correspond to ability
- State and local assessment results
- Ohio's Third Grade Reading Guarantee
Special Education Issues - IDEA and Section 504
- Difficulty obtaining an initial IDEA or Section 504 Evaluation to determine eligibility
- IEPs
that do not provide an individual program that is reasonably calculated
to enable an IDEA eligible child to make progress appropriate in light
of the child’s circumstances
- Section
504 Plans that do not provide the supports, related services, aids, and
accommodations that are needed for their qualified, eligible child with
disabilities to be successful in school and to receive a Free
Appropriate Public Education (FAPE)
- Difficulty making their child’s case at team meetings
